We caught up with Cleo to hear more about why she joined the Helpfulpeeps community and the time when she met Ana to give her some help and advice on blogging!

Ana (a self-confessed techie dinosaur!) was looking for a little help figuring out how to use her new smartphone so she could start to write a blog about her experiences when she went travelling the following month. A perfect reason to ask for a little bit of help and something that many of us would love to help out with. Hope you have a lovely trip Ana! :)

Here’s what Cleo had to say about her experience of Helpfulpeeps:

When did you join Helpfulpeeps?

I signed up to Helpfulpeeps after reading about it from a post online ages ago, but then looked on the site again as it was recommended to me by a friend who had just joined.

What made you decide to help out?

I decided to help, as I read through the posts and noticed Ana was asking for help with something I thought I could really assist with, so got in touch right away.

Can you share your experience of when you met?

We met up for a coffee and had a brilliant discussion about how to use social media whilst travelling, to be specific how to use WordPress etc to write an online blog. We discussed various other apps that were useful when I was traveling too. It was nice to share my experiences with someone else.

How did it make you feel?

I felt happy as I felt I had made a positive contribution towards what Ana was looking to accomplish when traveling. Ana did actually offer to help me with some gardening as she used to be a garden designer, which was lovely of her to offer. It’s just really nice to know that there are people out there that will help you when you need it, and want nothing in return.
